* OVERALL HISTORY,
- Alyssa was born to two loving parents, and had a pretty normal childhood the first few years, enjoying the benefits of being the first child of a couple who'd had trouble conceiving. Her early years were spent smiling and laughing with her parents, and getting pretty much everything she wanted from them.
- At the age of 7, Alyssa's younger sister was born. She was a bit jealous at first, but fell in love with the rascal after her mother let her hold her for the first time. She became instantly protective and didn't waste any time boasting at school about her awesome new baby sister.
- When Alyssa was 13, her whole family was in a car accident. It was raining, and the car swerved. Simple as that. Alyssa woke up in the hospital more than freaked out. She could hear her parents crying, but couldn't see them. She later found out that her younger sister died instantly in the crash.
- At age 14, she left the hospital and started attending classes as a school for the visually impaired. She met others like herself, and went through many years of research trying to figure out a way for her to see again.
- At the age of twenty, she is attempting her second year of university, and although occasionally difficult, it's been an okay time. Being so far away from her normal routine that she built up at home can be stressful, but she manages.

` ROLE-PLAY EXAMPLE,
Ronnie had never felt so lonely in her life. She'd gone and done something completely idiotic by kissing him. She knew she was leaving, and she knew that he probably didn't see her as more than a friend or a pretty face. Still, she couldn't just give up on him. She wasn't sure what would happen now. He hadn't seemed opposed to the idea of them kissing, or talking about them as more than just friends, but she could never really tell with guys. They were hard to read. Still, she couldn't shake the fact that he looked kind of angry. Well, that was one way to reject a girl. She'd grown accustomed to recognizing anger in the face of the people she loved. Her parents had never been particularly angry, just disappointed with her. The only friend she'd ever seen get angry was at her brother's funeral when the girl, in a fit of grief, started yelling at her dead brother's body. That was an ... interesting day. The only real displays of anger that she'd ever witnessed were from Joshua, her last boyfriend. The clenched jaw, the glint in the eye became all to familiar to Ronnie during that relationship. She knew that Lonny wasn't Josh, but she recognized the same tension in his body and it made her flinch.
Then he loosened up, letting go. Something she'd never seen happen in her life. Sure, she'd been angry plenty of times, and eventually it had worn off, but she could never quite shake it like that. The only way Josh had been able to.... Well, he was always all apologies later. She shuddered at the thought of returning home. She knew him. He'd still be there. She'd never built up the guts to tell her parents what he'd done to her. So, if anything, he was probably at the house having dinner right now. He was always quite the charmer. She shook her head of thoughts of him. He wasn't the guy she was focused on right now, it was Lonny. "You're not being selfish." She said, shaking her head, clinging to him while they hugged. She felt like a lunatic for being so choked up. She hated being sensitive. She wanted to be the tough girl, but sometimes she just couldn't help herself. There was so much looming over her right now, and she didn't need another failed relationship to be tacked onto that list.
"How was I supposed to?... " She trailed off, not wanting to rehash the reasons she hadn't. It didn't really matter now did it? Her intent wasn't the make him feel guilty for being who he was. He was a flirt by nature. She could recognize that right from the beginning. She'd been wary of his charms at first. They were the same charms that had been used on her in her last serious relationship. She knew how a warm smile could be hiding something more sinister, and where the naive Ronnie would've jumped right in, the more wary Ronnie knew better. Still, it was going to cost her everything now. She'd waited too long. She had his attention in the beginning. She could see that, but now she wasn't so sure. She saw the way he looked at some of the other girls. She knew that many of them were harmless flirtations, but some things she just couldn't compete with, especially if she were to go away for a month or two. She didn't want to tie him down either. That wouldn't be fair to him, or to the drove of women who seemed to follow him around.
"We should sit down." Ronnie said, putting her serious face on. She plopped onto the couch, an emotional mess. She smiled at him and wiped at her eyes. "I feel like a total loser for crying right now." She said with a sad smile, trying to bring herself back from the land of depression. She shook it off and grinned at him warmly, her heart aching slightly. "I don't want to push anything on you." Her fingers were laced with his, and she squeezed his hand tightly. "I know that my being gone would only hurt any chances we might have... So, I don't think we should agree to anything that might end up getting one of us hurt in my absence." She was going to treat this the way an adult would treat it. She was going to be cool and calm, and... damn he looked so good right now. He was distracting her with those gorgeous eyes and his stupid kissable lips. She bit her bottom lip as she stared at his, losing her resolve. " And I think it's best we just..." She leaned forward and kissed him, unable to stop herself any longer, enjoying the now slightly more familiar feeling of his lips against hers. "... enjoy the night we have together?" She whispered against his lips between kisses.
